What is included in the price of my Adventure safari?
Our safari prices INCLUDES, the cost of the gorilla trek and permit @$500 each, All accommodation, All ground transportation in private 4 x 4 Safari Land Cruiser, Full- time experienced safari guide (English speaking) and his associated expenses, All meals (except where B&B is denoted), Water and snacks in the vehicle, Entrances fees in National Parks, ranger guide fee, Chimpanzee tracking, boat/canoe rides, All applicable taxes and administration.

What sort of accommodations should I expect?
It is our policy to use the best available accommodation in any area we visit. We use stylish and exclusive lodges, hotels and camps. These have en suite or private bathroom facilities, good food well-stocked bars, and most with flush toilets and hot and cold running water. These pride themselves on the excellence of their personalized service and friendliness of their staff.
What kind of food can I expect?
While in town, expect a variety of local, Western and Oriental cuisine.
In the National parks, menus are generally Western with some local fare. Meals are well cooked. We ask all our clients to advise if they have any dietary requirements in advance.
We advise you always limit you self on bottled water and never tap water.
Who will my guides be?
The most important person to determine the success of a safari is the guide. Therefore our guides are qualified, experienced and very knowledgeable. Their proficiency, passion, language skills, cultural knowledge, environmental understanding and safety training are excellent. Besides presenting you wonders you would never find on your own, they make sure everything runs efficiently and safely since they are familiar with the wildlife, birds, fauna and flora, and help you to obtain first hand appreciation of Uganda.
Can I request a guide who speaks my language?
Surely. We will do our best to fulfill your request. Generally we are able to provide drivers and guides speaking specific languages if given ample, earlier notice.
How will I travel from one place to the next?
Since our prices include all ground transportation, we therefore make sure that a representative from Adventure Trails meets you at the Airport, assist you with the check in the hotel and also see you off at the airport after your trip.
How do I know if I’m fit enough for a trip?

Are there age restrictions on any activities?
Only travelers over the age of 15 are allowed to track Gorillas and Chimpanzees. Others below 15yrs can do other activities like game drives and boat trips.
Are there health restrictions on any activities?
Any tourist found to be suffering from an infectious disease such as a common cold or cough, influenza or diarrhea will be disqualified by park authorities from tracking gorillas and chimpanzees to avoid conveying the infection on to the primates. Therefore we recommend that you report this to your safari guide in case you are find out to be suffering from such diseases. This will allow him to obtain a refund of your tracking permit.
What are the requirements when tracking the Gorillas?
You need to bring the Warm clothes, fleece or light wool sweater, moisture wicking undergarments, lightweight wool socks, long-sleeved shirt, strong waterproof walking boots (comfortable for going up and down steep hills), sturdy trousers, sunglasses, a torch, fast film, binoculars, sun screen, a sun hat, a breathable lightweight rain poncho or parka with a rain hat, gloves to grip vegetation (inexpensive gardening gloves work well) and a small backpack to carry water and a packed lunch. It is best to have layers of clothing as temperatures tend to change. The guides will make you a walking stick if needed.

How do I pay for my trip?
Payment may be made to us upon booking your safari. You must confirm that you are in agreement with our terms and conditions and pay the appropriate deposit of 30% of the total price including the fees for the Gorilla permits. The balance should be paid before the start of the safari. Kindly note that full payment is required for bookings made within weeks of the departure.
What are my rooming choices if I’m traveling alone?
We make every attempt to arrange shared accommodations for single travelers when asked to do so. If the request cannot be honored, we apply for a single supplement.
What are my responsibilities as a traveler?
Safari members have certain responsibilities to Adventure Trails and to other trip members: trip members are responsible for understanding the conditions implied in our Terms and Conditions and trip itinerary, and selecting a trip which is appropriate to their interests and abilities; for preparing for the trip by studying the trip itinerary and supplemental trip information sent by Adventure Trails; for bringing appropriate clothing and equipment as advised by Adventure Trails; for following normal standards of personal hygiene in order to lessen risk of travelers’ diseases, as advised by the trip leader; for following normal social behavior patterns with fellow trip members; for acting in an appropriate and respectful manner in accordance with the customs of countries visited; for completing the itinerary as scheduled (or as adjusted in the field as necessary). Trip members are also responsible for arranging sufficient travel insurance for themselves, including baggage loss and medical insurance. At the guide’s discretion, a member may be asked to leave the trip if the guide feels the person’s further participation may be detrimental to other trip members or to the individual.
What are The Adventure Trails limitations of liability?
The Adventure Trails purchases hotel accommodations, transportation, restaurant services medical evacuation services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. The Adventure Trails cannot therefore be liable for any death, personal injury, property damage or other loss that may occur;
1. due to any act or omission of any such supplier, or
2. by reason of any other event over which it has no control.
The Adventure Trails reserves the right to revise US Dollar prices without notice to reflect marked increases in foreign exchange or tariff rates. The Adventure Trails also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, to refuse to accept or retain as a member of any tour any person at any time, and to pass on to tour members any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.
Depending on the itinerary you have selected, optional activities will be available at some of the places you will visit. Some of these activities carry with them the inherent risk of serious personal injury. These activities include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Walking tours, Canoe, boat and white-water rafting trips, Gorilla tracking
You should be aware that your personal safety cannot be guaranteed. Should you choose to partake in such activities while you are on tour, free to do so. However, you must understand that such participation will be at your own risk and that Adventure Trails assumes no responsibility for your safety
Adventure Trails is not responsible for acts of God, fire, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel, and other similar acts or incidents beyond its ability to control.
Can I change my mind and transfer to another trip?
You can change from one trip to another if you do this more than 60 days before the start date of your tour. After this, our cancellation policy will apply.
What are the penalties for canceling my trip?
Cancellations received will be subject to the following penalties of tour cost:
60 days and above 20%
46-60 days 30% of safari cost
31-45 days 40% of safari cost
9-30 days 50% of safari cost
0-8 days 100% of safari cost
Please note that cancellation fees are based on the date your written notification is received at Adventure Trails Ltd.
Can Adventure Trails guarantee that my trip will run?
Adventure Trails reserves the right to cancel any trip if an economically viable number of members do not sign up for a tour. In such unlikely event, we will inform you at least 60 days prior to departure. You will be given the option to carry on with the tour privately, and bear the extra costs of doing this. If you do not wish to take up this option, the trip will be cancelled, and your deposit will be returned less any non-refundable costs we have incurred in planning the tour. Adventure Trails is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by members preparing for the trip.
Will I need a visa?
You may require a visa depending on which country you come from.
