You will also get a chance to go for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park in southwestern Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is renowned for its endangered mountains gorillas and it hosts 13 gorilla families that can be trekked.

Detailed itinerary for 6 days wildlife safari partly flying

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls and visit the top of the falls

After your breakfast, our driver will pick you from your respective hotel in Kampala and drive to Murchison Falls national park. Along the way, you will have a stopover in Masindi town for lunch and then you will proceed to the park. This journey will take about 5-6 hours and on reaching the park, you will hike to the top of the falls. This is a very exciting experience for nature lovers. It enhances panoramic views of the falls and attracts photograph taking. You will see the immense force of nature as water squeezes through a narrow gorge, Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

Following morning breakfast, you will be driven to the Buligi game track for a morning game drive where you will have a chance of spotting plenty of wildlife including giraffes, buffalos, antelopes and other animal species. After the game drive, you will report back to your lodge for lunch and after lunch you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile in anticipation of seeing plenty of water birds species and animals like the hippos, crocodiles and the rare shoebill stork, Dinner and overnight at your reserved lodge.

Day 3: Fly to Kihihi

After breakfast, our driver will take you to Pakuba airstrip to catch your flight that will transfer you to Kihihi in Bwindi national park. Arrive in the outskirts of the park and then drive to your reserved lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as you await the wild the following day.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Around 8, you will then trek into the rainforest in search for the endangered Mountain gorillas. The period for this activity is not clearly known since it depends on their movements and of where they slept the previous day. After landing on a gorilla family, you will only spend an hour with these endangered species while taking photographs with them for memories, Dinner and overnight at your reserved lodge.

Day 5: Drive to Kigali for a city tour

After breakfast, our driver will transfer you to Kigali crossing the Ugandan border at Cyanika. On reaching Rwanda, you will have a city tour around Kigali. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a sensitive experience to witness the graveyard of the thousands and thousands of Rwandan Genocide victims. After, you will visit the Kandt Museum of national history where you can learn about the co-existence of people and their environment in the old colonial buildings. You will also visit Ivuka Arts Studio in Kacyiru where you will get a chance to see Rwamakondera Children’s Dance Troupe performing then Rwandan traditional dances, Dinner and overnight at your reserved lodge.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast, our driver will drive you to Kigali International Airport for your next flight.
